Over 200 new homes are scheduled for completion in 2009 on the former Motherwell Bridge site, close to Glasgow.

Homes on the Orchard Park development include apartments, three and four bedroom detached and semi-detached houses and one and two-bedroom mews properties.

The £20 million development has currently entered its second phase of 141 homes, with prices at the site starting from £174, 995.

"We are investing in Motherwell because it is a thriving town with a growing community. Now is an exciting time for the area given the redevelopment going on in the town and surrounding areas," said Lorraine Clelland of Bett Homes, the developers of Orchard Park.

"We were delighted by the response we received for the first phase at Orchard Park and already have a number of homes reserved in the second phase. It's a popular development with both people already living in the area and those relocating."

Orchard Park is close to the M74 motorway network and a mainline train station.
