A number of reconstructions and new projects are coming up in Asenovgrad. The municipal council is going to vote in July which of the roads will be completely reconstructed and which will be just reconditioned.The municipality of Asenovgrad gives 2 million BGN and 3 more million are given as a credit.But not only the main roads will be repaired.A hundred and thirty kilometres (130km) of roads in the villages in the area will be renewed.All parts of the region will get more accessible all the year round. Asenovgrad is known as the Bulgarian Jerusalem.Asenovgrad and the surroundings have 36 churches and 198 chapels. The town has the potential to become a tourist centre, because of the large number of its cultural monuments and its beautiful nature.The number of people, who invest in buying houses in Asenovgrad is permanently increasing. In such connection the town council is planning different projects for further development of the ecotourism.It has already applied for the Phare programme and for financing from the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works. A whole new road is planned to be built.It will start from Asenovgrad through Oreshets, Mostovo to Krastova Gora.The road will connect directly Asenovgrad with these villages with famous places of interest, such as caves, precipices, churches and the well-known monastery “St. Troiza” in Krastova gora.The region is suitable for vacations and outdoor activities.The whole infrastructure of the region is getting better and it is really attractive for buying houses in this region of Bulgaria. Another big project is the building of a new Town Water-Purifying Station.The town council is looking for investors, but plans to start it as soon as possible. As a whole Asenovgrad is really perspective area for buying properties and we give you a great opportunity to make your dreams come true.
