Cheap property in Dubai Property show proves Dubai market not slowing down

Forty big real estate developers and sellers have participated for two days in the fourth property show organised by DSL Exhibitions, proof that the UAE market is not slowing down despite rising prices of property for sale in Dubai.

During the two-day "Resale and Rental Property Show", that ended yesterday buyers and sellers of real properties talked directly with each other to close a deal on immediate use of a property or for future investment.

"Many people who were looking for something to buy in the real property market came here," Tessa Morris, marketing director of DSL Exhibitions, said in a phone interview. "We also have a number of retailers as this is the only big local property show in Dubai. All the property shows here are international; ours is the only big show that's local."

The fourth R&R Show offered developers, real estate agents, finance providers, home service suppliers and providers of other ancillary services the chance to showcase, sell, resell or rent out their properties direct to the public or their target consumers for two days.

The Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Standard Chartered and Mashreqbank were among the financing firms that participated in the show.

The show also had the popular Property Wall, which served as a kind of a bulletin board for buyers, sellers, landlords, agents and other people involved in the property market to post some advertisements, free of charge.

Morris said companies engaging in ancillary services, such as home insurance, maintenance, storage and home furnishings also had the chance to talk and sell their products directly to homeowners and potential buyers.

"The rental market is as strong as ever, driven by the expatriate market looking for the short- or long-term, from affordable to luxury solutions," the DSL Exhibitions said on its Web site. "The mortgage and finance market is also becoming increasingly competitive as investors can now pick and choose from a range of newly-developed finance options."

The show is actually a one-stop solution to every property need of a consumer, either he or she wants to buy or rent on the spot.
